Brows-ing My Options

Who hasn't been trying to raise their brow game lately?! I had let my brows get a little too natural for my liking so I visited a Blink brow bar a week or so ago and I've been on cloud nine, brow game wise, ever since. This round up of products has been tested on both my unkempt, untouched brows and my new threaded marvels... what can I say, I am thorough as anything (!).

Soap & Glory Archery in Hot Chocolate: 7/10
We all know what this guy is meant to be a dupe for (I've not tried it so I cannot compare, my apologies) but I think it's safe to say this scores as around a 7/10 for me; it's good, but not quite great in my books. Yes, the nib is nice and small and results are far less "ew" than the majority of traditional brow pencils I have tried (gosh I know my adjectives), but I'm not impressed by the spoolie and it is too warm for my brows. I like, but I don't love.

Maybelline Brow Satin in Medium Brown: 1/10 (not pictured)
I really did not get on with this product. The nib is a little wider than S&G Archery and the formula feels off to me; for some reason, mine would break off when pressure was applied... disappointing stuff. Add the fact I am not wild on the shade and really don't get the press down powder end, and you've got me heading for the bin with a heavy heart. *pauses to sniff, overcome with emotion*

Illamasqua Brow Gel in Awe: 8/10
I have heard a lot of folks talking about Anastasia Beverley Hills' Dip Brow Pomade but most recommendations seem to be made with wary comments about how tricky it can be to master. I've not tried the Pomade but I am pretty confident this option is far easier; Illamasqua's Brow Gel comes with a smashing range of colours that are applied with an angled brush. My mum was the one who turned me onto this and so far I am a big fan!

Maybelline Brow Drama in Dark Brown: 9/10
I've waxed lyrical on why I love this so on a number of occasions, but for those of you in the dark, this is my bae. If you can get past the strange wand shape you will find a stunner for naturally tinted and tamed brows; applied with a light hand, it is a gorgeous easy everyday option. I love how reassuringly cool toned it is too!

Have you guys tried any of these? Also, are you interested in a Blink vs. HD Brow comparison? You know where to go to let a girl know!
